Losses and Gains

Elder Todd Lukas continues with our series in the book of Philippians, preaching from Philippians 3:4-9. As Christians, are we deep thinkers about the things we gained because of Christ? Do we count as rubbish those things from our old selves we thought made us honorable before God and the world? Do we hold to the rituals we believe bring us closer to God, or do we deeply think about the wonders of our salvation? Have we fully confessed our sins and moved to a life that honors God with our thoughts and actions? As Christians we are challenged to live a life that is not based on rituals and our own honor, but rather as a people truly thankful for the gift of salvation and the wonder of it with careful thought in a growing, mature relationship with our Lord.
