THE PILGRIM'S PROGRESS
Elder Herb Beyer and Pastor Young
First published in 1678, 'The Pilgrim's Progress' is a Christian allegory and an influential literary model by John Bunyan, an English writer, and Puritan preacher. It recounts the story of a Christian, who appears to the author in a dream, and his journey to Heaven through the trials and tribulations of life, meeting like-minded pilgrims on his way.
The author brings us through the understanding of human sinfulness as the natural state of all people; salvation of one’s soul as the one thing needful; the substitutionary atonement of Jesus as the basis for the forgiveness of sin; and heaven as the ultimate longing of every person.

CHURCH AND THE MODERN CHRISTIAN: 1 & 2 TIMOTHY AND TITUS
Elder Todd Lukas
In a world that preaches self-expression churches are anachronistic islands that bond around central beliefs. This was no less true in the first century, and in these three intimate books, Paul focuses on the priority of the local church in our lives. He explores topics such as hierarchy, conflict, resolution, the importance of right doctrine, and the important distinctions between men and women before the Lord.
This will be a beginner to intermediate level study going verse-by-verse.
